Scheduling Downtime: Taking Time to Recharge in Peri- and Postmenopause

Perimenopause symptoms can manifest in various ways: physically, through hot flashes, changes in your cycle, sleep disruptions, and heart palpitations; and psychologically, with mood swings, anxiety, and brain fog. In addition to proper nutrition, adequate sleep, and regular exercise, taking time for some rest and relaxation with your inner circle is another powerful way to reconnect with yourself.

Recently, Bev took a step back from running The Menopausal Mind and Stepping Stones to enjoy a weekend getaway with a close friend, her pup, and of course Wilbur, our favorite rescue dog from Texas.

From exploring Qualicum Falls to leaving pawprints on the sandy beaches of Seal Bay, it was a time to create memories, savor good food, and appreciate the beautiful moments life has to offer. It’s also a gentle reminder that many beautiful and fulfilling days are waiting for you on the other side of menopause.
